CALCULATOR INSTRUCTIONS ▼

Step 1: Enter the TOTAL FLIGHT TIME REMAINING WHEN CREW REST WILL BEGIN (i.e., once BOTH experiences have completed service). Input hours and minutes.

Step 2: Enter the FLIGHT TIME REMAINING WHEN ALL CREW REST WILL END (usually 1:30 before landing to begin pre-arrival service). PRO TIP: on full flights, consider ending rest earlier (e.g., 1:45 or 2:00 remaining).

Step 3: Enter the NUMBER OF CREW REST BLOCKS. Typically, with 4 crewmembers, you’ll need 4 blocks (1 person resting at a time). If someone opts out, reduce the number.

Step 4: Enter the TRANSITION TIME BETWEEN BLOCKS in minutes (e.g., 5 minutes to allow for briefing and hand-off).

Click “Calculate” to see the time allotted for each Crew Rest block. Use “Reset” to start over.
